Skipper's Mid-Term Reflections

During the compilation of this issue "Strathy" captain Gordon McKinnie was feverishly making the final adjustments to the tour game plan. However, Rain Stopped Play caught up with the enigma himself in the Do'ocot dressing rooms and questioned him regarding the club's current bizarre position in the Perthshire League.

RSP: What are your thought's regarding Strathearn's recent run of form ?

GMcK: "It's great to see Strathearn at the top of the league. What has been pleasing is the attacking nature of our play which will have to continue for us to succeed as really it's only half time and we have it all to do again."

RSP: There has been much talk in the past regarding the format of the Perthshire League games. Would you care to comment on this ?

GMcK: "If all games had been a straight overs competition we would have won six out of six ! At this stage of the season 7 different batsman have posted scores of 50 or better in all matches and we regularly have a whole stack of bowlers doing well--Keep it going!".
